Kofod Larsen designed this lovely sideboard in 1962 for G Plan for their Danish range introduced in 1963, and produced until c 1967. There were 3 different sizes of sideboard in the range, and this was the largest at 235cm. This premium flagship range of furniture was produced in relatively small numbers and with the highest quality construction: The drawers are solid oak internally with a solid teak front, and the dovetailing is superb. The handles are veneered in Bombay rosewood to give a contrast with the teak Combined with an elegant simplicity and beautifully proportioned design, this has led to these pieces becoming some of the most desirable and sought after mid-century furniture for the modern home.
